Alleged Plot To Terminate Amnesty Programme, A Call To Disterbalize Peace In Nigeria, Says Ijaw Youth Council President, Barr. Oweilaemi Pereotubo

Alleged Plot To Terminate Amnesty Programme, A Call To Disterbalize Peace In Nigeria, Says Ijaw Youth Council President, Barr. Oweilaemi Pereotubo

Francis Tayor

Yenagoa_______ Prior to the rumour going round the air about some cabals in the Presidency urging President Muhammadu Buhari to terminate the ongoing Presidential Amnesty Programme for Niger Delta ex-agitators, the Ijaw Youth Council IYC, President worldwide, Barr. Oweilaemi Pereotubo has warned those evil plotters to desist from such move, stressing that such gesture will jeopardize the peace in Niger Delta and Nigeria by extension, owing to the facts that the nations economy will bleed when those boys return back to the creeks.

Barr Oweilaemi give the warning in a Press Release dated 28th September, 2019 stated that, the clandestine move by those cabals if materialised, will be viewed as ethnophobic propensity of the present government against the Niger Delta people. He reiterated that the federal government has not fulfilled its own part of the bargain since the Niger Delta ex-agitators laid down their arms for oil to flow freely into the nation's coffer, hence such plan is inimical for the well being of Nigerian economy.

According to Oweilaemi in the Press Release reads; " We have been reliably informed that there are clandestine moves by power players within the corridor of power at the presidency to abruptly terminate the Presidential Amnesty Programme. The move, if materialised by the enemies of peace, will be viewed as ethnophobic propensity of the present Government against the Niger Delta people.

In case the plotters of the evil coup fail to know, the Amnesty Programme is a mutual agreement between the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Niger Delta people. The bargain is for the agitators to lay down their arms to accept the offer of Presidential Amnesty which has hitherto outlined terms and conditions to be complied with by both sides.

The Amnesty Programme is a well thought out developmental programme of the then government of late President Omaru Musa Yar'Adua with different segments. The Programme was phased into three segments which are: Disarmament, Demobilisation and Reintegration for the first segment; Rehabilitation for the second segment while Strategic Implementation Work Plan (SIWP) for the third segment.

Granted that the first segment has successfully been carried out. However, we are still at the second segment which is the rehabilitation process. Engaging the youths on vocational trainings or sending people to school as well as the empowerment programmes are all part of the rehabilitation processes.

There is no time limit as to when the Programme will be terminated especially when all the segments have not been executed. The third phase has not been attended to which is strictly for the massive development of the region. None of the developmental master plans initiated in the Programme has not been implemented.

Where is the N1.5trn Coastal Highway already awarded before Yar'Adua's unfortunate death in 2009? What about the East West Road which is now abandoned by this present Government? What about the Federal Government, Multinational Oil Companies and Private Sectors tripartite agreement to massively develop the riverine communities which was duly incorporated in the Amnesty offer?

The agitators did not accept the Amnesty offer simply because they agreed to be paid N56,000 for a period of time. May we remind those in Government to check their records? The first meeting between the top echelons of the Niger Delta freedom fighters and late president Omaru Musa Yar'Adua which had heralded the smooth kick off of the Amnesty Programme, the agitators tabled their demands to Yar'Adua who beat his chest that he will not disappoint the Niger Delta people. All terms and conditions discussed in that meeting were documented by the Federal Government and they formed part of the Amnesty Programme.

The Government has not fulfilled its own part of the bargain since the boys have laid down their arms for oil to flow freely into the nation's coffer. Terminating the Amnesty Programme without fulfilling the conditions stated therein is a breach of trust and agreement and it cannot go scot free without being visited with dare consequences.

The world is watching us. Niger Delta crisis is a global issue. This was the reason why the agitators had earlier insisted that they want UN representatives to witness the truce. People should not pursue personal ambition to endanger the corporate existence of Nigeria. We hope that Niger Delta people will not be blamed for any breakdown of law and order. Let us be wary of our actions. Less we will jeopardize our corporate coexistence, the statement adds."

Amnesty : Mrs Enetimi Evah Debunks Rumour Of EFCC Arrest, Says The Stories Was A Beer Parlor Lies To Tarnish Her Image

Amnesty : Mrs Enetimi Evah Debunks Rumour Of EFCC Arrest, Says The Stories Was A Beer Parlor Lies To Tarnish Her Image

Francis Tayor

In this short interview with Macaulay Wilson, Mrs Enetimi Evah, also known as the Royal Mother and the CEO of EZONEBI TRAINING CENTER Lagos, Presidential Amnesty Programme explains why there is need to continue with the amnesty programme, and dispelled the rumours that she was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC.

Excerpts From The Xclusive Interview:

Question : How did you go from training of 50 delegates of the Presidential Amnesty Programme to suddenly 137 trainees?

Answer : First of all, l would like to introduce myself. My names are Mrs Enetimi Bunuzigha Evah, I am from Ekogbene, under Burutu Local Government Area, in Delta State.

I have been a consultant to the federal government, under the Presidential Amnesty program for 8 years plus. In the last 8 years, I have worked with three of the special assistants. My work with ex-militants began during President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.

I began with 50 delegates (agitators), and the focus of the training then, was on entrepreneurship. The duration of the training was four months. The training helped the delegates develop their entrepreneurial skills and equip them with skills to transform their lives significantly. My first training was a huge success and I was so fulfilled to contribute to the lives of ex-militants. The delegates left the training centre with hope and joy and above all skills to better their livelihood.

The training and the outcome was a huge success as I mentioned earlier, I dropped my report for the previous training and I was awarded another contract with more delegates than the previous training. My delegates became shop owners, who were now employing other youths in the Niger-Delta region. This brought hope to the region, as the purpose for the creation of the programme was seen to be achieved in my centre.

Our training centre in Lagos, is well equipped with the best resources in fashion designing, leather works (shoes and bag manufacturing) and ICT equipments and well trained facilitators, with a capacity of 250 delegates.

At the time professor Charles Dokubo resumed office, we had already achieved more than 60% success rate in our delegates trained, meaning 60% of the delegates that attended our Training Institution, are already self-made and are employers in their various communities as mentioned earlier.

“I don’t want to brag” but we are one of the best training contractors this Programme has.

To this end, our success stories and capacity and passion in changing lives have contributed to the number of delegates we receive each year, so it is normal for the Office of the Presidential Amnesty Programme to increase the number of delegates given to us, due to our Excellent records and our capacity to train the ex-agitators.

As we all know these are special kind of people, that need special approach while training.

On our own, we decided to recognize hard work, determination and humility in the delegates during the training period, we present various awards depending on the said criteria.

Some go home with industrial machines, computers, cash awards and so on. So all these actions, fortunately, did not go unnoticed. Our efforts was appreciated by the Amnesty office, my company was given Award of Excellence in June,  2019 at Eko Hotel in Lagos. Strictly based on merit.

We have a training facility purposely built for this programme in Lagos. Our centre is more like a rehabilitation centre. We change their Mindset before the Programme is completed. We make sure we add to the best value with whatever the  amnesty programme gives us.

Question : This programme is it obviously changing lives of these former militants ?

Answer : Yes ofcourse, first of all, without this amnesty programme, I am sure a lot of tension would have been going on in the Niger Delta now.

And that is why one must appreciate and thank the President Buhari led administration for retaining the programme. This programme has really helped in shaping lives. It has helped to bring out the best in some of these delegates. Some of them have become employers of labour. The dignity of labour is already inculcated in them. They are all scattered in and around the country, they are in Lagos, Ondo, Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta States doing wonderfully well. But if not for this programme, the peace the region is presently enjoying would have become bloody.

The graduation ceremony was held for 137 of the delegates trained in my centre in June, 2019 at the Eko Hotel where the presidency was well represented.

Out of the 137 delegated, over 115 have already been empowered by the Presidential Amnesty office. Which is the instant Empowerment, immediately after the Graduation Ceremony, the delegates where given starter packs, to start up their business.

Amongst the delegate, is a lady, Miebi Foko who graduated in fashion designing in the last batch, she is in Bayelsa State, she called to say she has employed four apprentices and that she didn’t know she could make the kind of sales she’s presently making. There are others, Otuma, in Ekeremo, Prince, Emelakpor, Tony, so many, they are all doing well.

Question : With all that you have enumerated, how come the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, is allegedly searching for you ?

Answer : Thanks for this question. Already there is a fabricated satanic rumour that I have been arrested by EFCC.To say the least, that is the most ridiculous story I have heard this year. How can I be arrested when I have not committed any offence? I render services to the government with a duly registered Training Institution Company legitimately registered by the (CAC). I have never been arrested, invited or called by any law enforcement agencies before and now. You can only be arrested when you have been convicted of a crime. We are into Human Capacity Development, that is not a crime. Those stories were made up by people who don’t like the fact that we impact lives positively, through the Presidential Amnesty Programme. “l call them beer parlor stories, its all lies, Mrs Evah stated".

The Newly Constituted NDDC Board: Much Ado About Nothing, By: Topa Ajayi

The Newly Constituted NDDC Board: Much Ado About Nothing, By: Topa Ajayi

Once again, the controversies surrounding appointments into the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has come to the fore. In times past, appointments have been met with arguments and counter arguments by both supporters and dissenters. Several interest groups from competing oil producing Niger Delta States have weighed in on the issue with the sole intent of pulling their weights to sway the presidency to swing the pendulum of representation of the board to their side.

Recently, following the exit of the board members led by Senator Victor Ndoma Egba (Cross River) as chairman and Nsima Ekere (Akwa Ibom) as Managing Director, the board of the commission was reconstituted with the key positions of Chairman and Managing Director going the way of Edo and Delta States respectively. Following these appointments, there have been several outcries. Ethnic groups, politicians and individuals have lent their respective voices to the conversation. Pressure groups from different ethnic distributions within the Niger Delta region unsurprisingly, have emerged, as usual, crying foul and marginalization. The arguments bother principally on the legality of the appointments, particularly to the office of the Chairman and the Managing Director. In relation to the Chairman, the argument is that the current appointment only operates to disrupt an existing order of things.

The basis of the argument being that it is not the turn of Edo State to produce a Chairman of the Board taking into consideration the fact that the provisions of section 4 of the NDDC Act clearly stipulates that the chairmanship of the board shall be in alphabetical order of the member states. So far, from inception the board has had seven Chairmen in the following sequence: Onyema Ugochukwu (Abia State) 2001-2005 ; Sam Edem (Akwa Ibom State) 2005-2007 ;  Dan Abia (Akwa Ibom State) 2007 - 2009; Larry Koinyan (Bayelsa) 2009 - 2011 ; Tanfa Tebepah (Bayelsa) 2011-2013 ; Bassey Henshaw (Cross River) 2013 -2015 and Victor Ndoma Egba (Cross River) 2016-2019. The above appointments reveal a strict adherence to the spirit and intent of the Act as it relates to the office of the Chairman of the board of the Commission.

Taking into consideration the history of the appointments of the chairmanship of the board so far, it perhaps justifies the position taken by some that in line with the Act, Delta State should produce the next chairman of the board after Cross River. But far beyond that, we must all realize that laws are made for man and not man for the law. While I should not be seen to be justifying a deviation from the statutory rotational formula in alphabetical order, it is however necessary to state that it may be justifiable under the doctrine of necessity, taking into consideration the present circumstance. While the appointment of the chairman of the board from inception seem to have followed strictly the provisions of the law, the same cannot be said of the office of the Managing Director to the Commission. Quite worrisome to note is the fact that the Commission that has existed for just nineteen (19) years has had fourteen (14) Managing Directors both in acting and substantive capacity, making an average of fifteen months period for each Managing Director.

These large numbers of Managing Directors over this period of nineteen (19) years have been shared among the following states: Akwa Ibom (2) , Bayelsa (4) , Delta (3) , Edo (1) and Rivers (4). The Niger Delta Development Commission was established to drive meaningful economic advancement, peace and infrastructural development to the oil producing region thereby addressing the recurrent menace of hostility and militancy in the Niger Delta region occasioned by the feeling of deprivation despite the massive economic contribution of the region to the country's revenue generation. These grievances were further exacerbated by pollution and all manner of environmental degradation fostered on the Niger Delta communities as a result of oil exploration activities.

The Commission was timely established to preserve and protect the region which was fast becoming a flashpoint and heading towards a precipice due to activities of militants. The intention of the makers of the NDDC Act in putting in place the rotational mechanism is to foster a sense of belonging and fair participation amongst the several oil producing states and to oust the feeling of marginalization by any of the stake holders. But this intention seem to have been defeated by the scramble for the office of Managing Director by the political elites which has in turn resulted in the large turn-over of Managing Directors with the resultant effect of a distortion in  the development of the region. Evidently, the NDDC Act by Section 12 evinces the Managing Director of the Commission to be a technocrat, who can inject seriousness, focus and professionalism in handling its affairs effectively as an intermediate organ.

The Managing Director is the engine room of the commission that should drive its mandate of
development. As an unstable engine cannot and will ultimately delay, if not truncate an arrival to destination so has the frequent change of the Chief Executive affected the anticipated development of the region. The appointment to the office of the Managing Director should not be political and certainly not a means of compensating cronies and well wishers. In other words, political sentiments and considerations should be eschewed when such appointments are being considered.

The individual's capacity, competence, integrity and professionalism should be the hallmark of such appointments rather than sentiments. By virtue of section 12 of the Act, aside from the requirement that the Managing Director of the Commission shall be an indigene of oil producing areas and the rotation should start with member states of the Niger Delta with the highest production quantum of oil production, the Act also provides that appointee must be one with such qualification and experience as are appropriate for a person required to perform the functions of the office. From the provisions of Section 12 (1) (c) of the Act, the President has the discretion to appoint persons to the office of the Managing Director as long as the appointee satisfies the requirement of the Act. In exercise of these powers, President Muhammadu Buhari appointed an indigene of Delta State as the Managing Director of the Commission in the person of Bernard Okumagba. In my humble view, his appointment satisfies the requirement of the Act, taking into consideration his pedigree as a technocrat and an excellent administrator who had served in various capacities in the banking sector and as Delta State Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget from 2007-2010 and Commissioner for Finance from 2010-2013.

Having appointed an indigene of Delta State as the Managing Director, the president must be commended for his statesmanship in the appointment of the Chairman of the Commission from another member state even though it is the turn of Delta State. This decision has not in any way denied Delta State of an opportunity to produce a Chairman in the near future as their slot remains unfilled. The efforts to politicize the appointments to the NDDC board has regrettably promoted the spirit of "pull Him Down (PHD)" over the years and this explains the large turnover of Chief Executive Officer of the Commission.

The politicization of the appointment is inimical to the growth and development of the region. It has succeeded in beclouding the very essence of the Commission and the problems facing the commission particularly in the key area of funding. Most of the abandoned projects in the region have arisen out of lack of funds and not because the Managing Director came from a particular section of the Niger Delta.

In my view, rather than dissipate energy on ethnic, myopic and political differences. Niger Deltans should concentrate their efforts and resources in ensuring an amendment of the NDDC Act to provide for security of tenure for the office of the Managing Director just as is obtainable under the CBN Act.
It is this security of tenure that will drive the development of the region as the high turnout of Chief
Executives of this intermediate organ has negatively affected its operations.

Let us refocus our energy towards strengthening the Commission rather than engage in mundane fighting that will further negatively impact on the advancement and development of the region.

It is common place that where institutions are stronger than personalities, the system works perfectly well. The number of Managing Directors (acting or substantial) out numbers that of those that have occupied the chairmanship position four times over because of the politics of greed and exclusion. This unfortunate scenario creates a very unhealthy environment for progress and infrastructural development. This ancient blackmail is not only nauseating but a ruthless recipe for chaos and reign of corruption.

Now is the time for these unrelenting power-brokers who have held the region down to relinquish their callous and compassionless position of regression so that the new can initiate a new order of progress, infrastructural development and a new Niger Delta devoid of misery, penury, under development, poverty and cruel rivalry.

The ideal thing should be for instance six chairmen to six Managing Directors. Most of the time a particular set of interest would lord-over the selection process over and above quality leadership traits and competence. The outcome of this vicious circle has always been stagnation and lots of motion without progressive advancements.

The order of things before now have been slow advancement and these seemingly powerful blocks must necessarily sponsor what may deceitfully look like a well co-ordinated resistance but the truth is that the "old ways of doing things" is desperately frightened of loosing its strangulating grip over the development of the Niger Delta region.

Almost every important person including the well revered Oba of Benin have openly congratulated Mr. President for his well articulated choice of this new board. Every other dissenting voice must of necesssity be regarded as representing a myopic few. The average Niger Deltan does not clamour for greedy wealth but yearns for the basic necessities of life whuch should generally make life more meaningful rather than an insignificant minirity dwarfing the will and zeal of the majority to make progress.

It is extremely laughable to imagine that the APC members in Bayelsa State would take to the streets protesting Governor Dickson's choice of commissioners and the Governor Dickson that is well known for standing his grounds would offer the slightest recognition to such a protest, not to even mention vehemently taking the stance of arm-twisting and blackmail. Such antics can only frighten lesser mortal not our formidable President.  Let it be said that  President Buhari has made the perfect selection of the people that would redeem the Niger Delta region. The fear of the resultant massive improvement on the region is threatening and the results would be dismantling of the PDP in the region. The president is our hero by his style of leadership and the opposition is already losing sleep.

This is a clarion call on all Niger Deltans to come together and work together in unity and across political party lines to move the region forward. The most feasible way to make this possible is to abandon parochial and primodial sentiments and think positively in the interest of the larger majority. We must all support the new board by ensuring that each and every one of us in the Niger Delta region becomes a stake holder again.

Amnesty : Enetimi Evah Debunks Rumour Of EFCC Arrest, Says She Was Never Invited Neither Arrested, And That The Story Was A Beer Parlor Lies To Tarnish Her Image

Francis Tayor

In this short interview with Macaulay Wilson, Enetimi Evah, also known as the Royal Mother and the CEO of EZONEBI TRAINING CENTER Lagos, Presidential Amnesty Programme explains why there is need to continue with the amnesty programme, and dispelled the rumours that she was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC.

Excerpts From The Xclusive Interview:

Question : How did you go from training of 50 delegates of the Presidential Amnesty Programme to suddenly 137 trainees?

Answer : First of all, l would like to introduce myself. My names are Enetimi Bunuzigha Evah, I am from Ekogbene, under Burutu Local Government Area, in Delta State.

“l call them beer parlor stories, its all lies, Enetimi Evah stated".

Special Feature: Ogbe-Ijoh Through Thick And Thin Celebrates Her 4Th Coronation Anniversary

Special Feature: Ogbe-Ijoh Through Thick And Thin Celebrates Her 4Th Coronation Anniversary

By: Comrade Ekabukumo John Oromoni

The epoch famous geographical region called Ogbe-Ijoh in warri south west local government area of delta state in Nigeria is the most challenge kingdom to be reckoned ever since her origin. Sited amidst her enemies but have continued to enjoy pyrrhic victories for existence. Through the thick and thin, Aladja behind, Agbasa at front, the Itsekiri's at the right and left this but few are only to be mention as rivals but despite the collusions to tarnish and diminish the great Ogbe-ijoh land was a delude only but to end up erroneous. How great are thou, men of my beloved fathers land having single handedly fought to tread upon her enemies has now enjoyed total rest.

I beseeched you my brethren brag not for the tide and shackle of thy enemies but let it be acknowledge that the battle has been the Lord's doing, for the plight we contend can only be referred to that of the Israelites whom suffer the same fate with us but yet continue to bask in glory for the almighty Jehovah who girdle us with his hands to triumph in battles has as well crave us to enjoy the pleasure of life amidst enmity.

HRM. King COUPLE MACKSON OROMONI, the Lord's chosen is indeed the beauty of the land. I stand to be corrected, history have it to transmit to posterities that, as at when he was once a council chairman WSW LGA, he stood for his people never to compromise but rather legally fought and agitated against the planed relocation of the headquarter of WSW from Ogbe-ijoh to a land of the rivalry. But because he is a man who upholds his people interest as his foremost priority he astutely, financially and indefatigably fought to retain the common goal of his people of which at some point led to his financial breakdown. This are but only few of his ever green legacies spur to the growing youths of contemporary society to follow, and this are the major reasons the people as indebted to him wholeheartedly reciprocate him with the throne to continue with his assigned responsibility.

More so, on the banquet of this auspicious fourth coronation anniversary, I wish to stand in a gap to decree that, God in his merciful heart shun his wrongs and continue to flourish him with solomonic wisdom and wealth, exempt him from every evil circumstances of the day and longest of life as he desired may his reign be in Jesus mightiest name Amen.

God Bless My Uncle!
God Bless The King !
Long Live The King !
Congratulations HRM King COUPLE MACKSON OROMONI.

Amnesty: Ijaw Interest Advocate (IIA) Kicks Against Calls For Prof Dokubo Sack, Urges Him To Be Transparent, Makes Case For Chief Michael Johnny, Others For Appointment

Amnesty: Ijaw Interest Advocate (IIA) Kicks Against Calls For Prof Dokubo Sack, Urges Him To Be Transparent, Makes Case For Chief Michael Johnny, Others For Appointment

Francis Tayor

The leadership of Ijaw Interest Advocates (IIA); Izanzan intellectual Camp under the National Coordinator of Amb. Arerebo Yerinmene Salaco jnr, has kicked against calls for the sack of the Presidential Amnesty Programme Coordinator, Prof.Charles Quaker Dokubo, stressing that Dokubo should be encouraged and supported by all well meaning Niger Delta Ijaws to perform better in the affairs of the Amnesty Programme rather than otherwise.

The group had also make case for Delta Ijaw APC Chieftain and former Delta South 2019 APC Senatorial aspirant, High Chief.Michael Johnny and other Ijaw APC faithfuls to President Muhammadu Buhari for appointment into his cabinet, saying Chief Johnny and other APC Chieftains deserves to eat the fruit of their labour, having worked for President Buhari reelection in the 2019 general elections.

The group made the call on the 17th September, 2019 in the city of Warri, after a crucial emergency meeting to come up with eleven point Resolutions and Recommendations for the general interest of ljaw Nation.

According to the resolutions reached, the group said; " The leadership of ljaw Interest Advocate (IIA); lzanzan lntellectual Camp had recieved several calls from our admirers across Ijaw Nation over the status quo of the Presidential Amnesty Propgramme (PAP) and her leadership led by Prof.Charles Dokubo.

While we owe nobody any explanation, it is better for us to unveil our position without mincing words as it concerns the entirety of Ijaw Nation and Niger Delta at large.

Going further, as young intellectuals that had decided to always operate intellectual-wise to attract development to our towns and villages,  we have resolved to support and protect the Ijaw Interest (Agenda) at all level anytime, especially when Ijaw Interest conflicts with others. It is for the aforesaid reason we are coming out to make our position known to the general public without using derogatory and inflammatory words.

Our Resolutions/Recommendations are as fellows;

1. We resolved not to be part of any plot to remove one Ijaw man for elevation of another Ijaw man for any reason whatsoever as we always wish our leaders, kinsmen well.

2. Ijaw leaders and stakeholders must unite and merge their collective synergy to plan for the way forward for Ijaw Nation before it’s too late.

3. We fault the leadership of Charles Dokubo to a certain level but convincingly it hasn't gotten to the level of calling for his replacement in other word “Sack”.

4. Prof.Charles Dokubo should be allow to discharge his official duties but he, Charles Dokubo must show some level of transparency and act all inclussively beyond reasonable doubt.

5. As young people that has resolved not to compromise our collective conscience for any reason whatsoever, we are strongly advising Prof.Charles Dokubo to immediately reach-out to all aggrieved stakeholders in the region to maintain, as well as strengthen the already existing peace in the region.

7. But if presidency so decided to change the leadership of the programme, maximum attention should be given to Delta State Ijaw for a fact that the modern Day struggle that resulted to the creation of the amnesty programme originated from Delta State and Delta Ijaw has not head the office since the inception of the board.

 8. In as much as new leadership has being contemplated, presidency must give maximum attention to capacity and fairness.

9. Recourse to fairness will indeed give room to capable sons of Ijaw origin from Delta state precisely to man the office as the program is a very strategic one which must be operated with maximum skill and experience.

10. And most pertinently considering item 7, 8, 9 Delta Ijaws must come together to front one man for the job else we will loose it all like the way we lose it all in the board of NDDC.

11. Conclusively presidency shouldn’t only considered the Ijaws in APC as political errand men during elections. Chief Micheal Johnny and others deserve to eat the fruit of their labour. This is the most suitable time for President Buhari to correct this anomaly and we implore him to heed this call seriously, the statement adds."

May God Bless Ijaw Nation!!!

Pull Out Of PDP Now And Form A Formidable Force With DSP Ovie Omo-Agege Ahead Of 2023 Guber Race, Hon Garry Advises Delta Ijaw PDP Faithfuls

Pull Out Of PDP Now And Form A Formidable Force With DSP Ovie Omo-Agege Ahead Of 2023 Guber Race, Hon Garry Advises Delta Ijaw PDP Faithfuls

Francis Tayor

An Ijaw Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and the leader of Delta Ijaw Political Machineries DIPM, Hon.Stanley Garry has advised the Ijaws of Delta state to earlier pull out of PDP in order to form a formidable alliance with the Deputy Senate President, Sen. Ovie Omo Agege a head of 2023 gubernatorial elections in the state.

According to Garry, said It is glaring that there is no consideration from the founders of the State PDP owing to the recent comments by some of its leaders about the zoning formular of their PDP towards Delta 2023 gubernatorial polls.

He stressed that the PDP zonning arrangements seem not to write the Ijaw etnicity into contention, and that will only spell doom and anarchy for the party.

In his words he said; " Delta Ijaw Political Machineries DIPM, as a movement wouldn't want to see this political nightmare befall the good people of Ijaw nation, we therefore advise that they join us in the All Progressive Congress APC, that would better accommodate them in the workings of the party.

We are going to mobilize and sensitize our Ijaw people against PDP. It is a dehumanisation of the Ijaws which has helped opened the exit door to join the APC ruling political family to foster concrete position.

The alliance of the Urhobos and Ijaws will be a formidable force for DSP Ovie Omo-Agege comes 2023. It will make the Ijaws have federal government attention, board appointments and attract capital infrastructures.

The distinguished Senator has the ears of Mr President and making him to become the next governor of Delta state is non negotiable. This will place the Ijaws in better position of getting the Guber position in 2031 with ease, Hon.Garry stated."

However, I will work in synergy with the Ovwian DPO and the Area Command to combat the criminal elements in Ovwian area. We are willing to do our best if only the community is ready to give us useful intelligence information about the hideouts of the hoodlums, Commander Hassan asserted."

Our men will continue to fight against cultism in warri. I want to appeal to use your good office to provide patrol vehicles, so as to enable us do our job effectively in the flight against criminality in Warri, Mr. Garba stressed."

Niger Delta Rights Activist, Comrade Austin Ozobo Is To Be Honoured With The 2019 Church Of God Mission Advocate For Justice Award, As He Dedicates Award To God And The Downtrodden

Francis Tayor

Warri____ A renowned Niger Delta based human Rights activist, Comrade Austin Ozobo is to be honoured with an Award of Advocate for Justice by Church of God Mission International Incorporated Ministry, Benin.

The Award is based on Austin Ozobo numerous contributions towards the well being of humanity, as well as his advocacy for the speedy development of the Niger Delta region by the Nigeria government.

Comrade Ozobo, who is the National President of the Ijaw Peoples Development lnitiative IPDI, has being seen by many as the reincarnated late Major Issac Adaka Boro, who is working hard toward actualizing Boro’s dream for ljaw people. His vision is to rebuild a nation marred by the legacy of white and control by Northerners. His dreams is to ushered in freedom and the ideals of justice and equity for his people in the contemporary Nigeria State.

Comrade Austin Ozobo has made tremendous sacrifices by challenging the Nigeria government, most especially when his people are under attack by the military and neglected by government and multi-national oil companies operating in the Niger Delta region.

The Niger Delta villages still lack of good schools, hospitals, roads and violently suppressed by the state. Economic inequalities still tear through the consciousness of the ljaw people. Although some progress has been made, the majority of ijaw people's live in poverty, and many still lack basic necessities such as electricity, proper housing and clean water. Education and health care for impoverished ljaws remain poor. It is a region where the economy is still largely controlled by the Nigerian State.

He advised the coordinators of the two centers to inform the various teams before registration. He added that the technical committee with other technical experts will be on ground to do exponent screening of each team before commencement. He explained further that the above exercise will help to produce the real age grade players who can be taken to the National league and premier league clubs and the will do well because they have age on their side.
