Delta ljaw People Blast Okowa, Call him a Chronic liar, Traitor and Betrayer

Delta ljaw People Blast Okowa, Call him a Chronic liar, Traitor and Betrayer

...... Says Okowa can't deceive ljaws twice like Ashawo use again

Francis Tayor

Warri______ As Governor lfeanyi Okowa of Delta State and Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the forthcoming 2023 general elections continues with his lies and deceit in Burutu over capitalizing on the abandoned Ayakoromo bridge as his campaign focus, the Delta ljaw People has responded to him that he is a Chronic liar, traitor, betrayer and cannot took advantage on them anymore with that obsolete, outdated campaign strategy because one cannot deceive to sleep with commercial prostitute twice for sex.

This was coming following the bluntant lies of Gov. Okowa on Monday 27th December, 2022 in Burutu where he said the Delta State government has re-awarded the terminated Ayakoromo bridge project to a new construction company SETRACO, adding that the new company will mobilize to site this week.
Speaking to Kpoko FM radio in Warri on Wednesday, the National Coordinator of Delta ljaw People's Mandate (DIPM), High Chief. Alhaji Yusuf Eregbene, the Obaseki of Akugbene Mein-Kingdom noted that the ljaws of Delta State will no longer fall into the antics of Gov. Okowa's chronic lies, stressing that they will decide their fate and made ljaw position known to the public in a few days time after a crucial meeting with the leadership of ljaw National Congress (INC) and ljaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide.

Eregbene stated that Okowa is a traitor and betrayer having the ljaw  people supported and voted him to become governor of Delta State over the past seven years.
According to Yusuf, said:  " What Okowa can remember ljaw people is to pay us back evil and disgrace. He recently upgraded over three higher institutions to university level in the state, none was brought to ljaw riverine communities.

" He constructed and completed roads in the urban areas but he deliberately terminated the few roads under contruction in ljaw land, especially Torugbene to Ojobo road in Burutu, Odofori, Adobor to Patani link road in Bomadi, and Angiama, Toru-Apelebiri, Bulu-Apelebiri link road to Patani main Town amongst others was abandoned."

Alhaji Yusuf Eregbene further exposed Okowa's lies by saying a reliable source reveal that SETRACO is not mobilizing to site this week as he alleged in Burutu, adding that he has not made any payment neither show commitment to the company to mobilize to site.
Yusuf reiterated that all what Okowa said in Burutu is a political gimmick and that Delta ljaw People will not take him serious neither trust him again with their votes come 2023.

However, Alhaji Yusuf has used this medium urged Delta ljaw People to prepare ahead of the forthcoming Mega Ten Thousand Youth, Men and Women March to be organized by Delta ljaw People's Mandate group in collaboration with other influential groups in Bomadi, stressing that the ljaws will unveil whose Presidential and Governorship candidates to support and work for in the forthcoming 2023 general elections, the statement added.

How Bigborogha/Kaka Royal Houses Broker Peace B/W Chiefs, Children of late King in the Kingdom

How Bigborogha/Kaka Royal Houses Broker Peace B/W Chiefs, Children of late King in the Kingdom

PRESS RELEASE

22nd December, 2022

TRUCE DECLARATION IN NGBILEBIRI-MEIN KINGDOM

We members of Bigborogha/Kaka Royal Houses Joint committee; which interfaced with the children of late King Bigborogha II; leaders of the Autonomous Communities, the larger Bigborogha Royal family in Ngbilebiri-Mein Kingdom view with pain the endless acrimony and recriminations in the Ngbilebiri-Mein kingdom.

The provoking factor has been misunderstanding between members of the Traditional Council, the children of the late king and to an extent the Bigborogha Royal House. We observe with pensive mood the failure of the kingdom to accord our late king a befitting last passage rites since his demise on 16th November, 2017.

Against the backdrop of these nimbus clouds hanging over the kingdom, the burial date of the late king has been postponed thrice in apprehension. All conflict preventive efforts through volunteering peace committees from Kiagbodo to Ayakorumo communities failed.
The above scenery occasioned the kaka Royal House to approach the late king children, the kingmakers and consequently made overture to the Bigborogha Royal House (the larger parent family of the late king’s children) to broker peace and foster unity in the kingdom. Those efforts led to the inauguration of Bigborogha/kaka Royal Houses Joint Committee on 6th August, 2022.

The Joint Committee further mobilized leaders of autonomous communities including the youth groups, making the body an all-inclusive kingdom forum. The forum above further galvanized and reached out to all aggrieved individuals, parties and stakeholders who ventilated their grouses freely. Almost all parties were brought to a negotiated agreement through diplomacy. In a representative Bigborogha/Kaka Royal Houses Joint Committee meeting with Autonomous Communities, youth groups and opinion leaders held (up to somewhat virtual) today, being Sunday 18th December, 2022 at Dr. (Apostle) Simeon Dode residence Kiagbodo town, the kingdom forum endorse and ratify the following declarations; although Oyangbene Community could not be available due to inexact network and hookup.
1.) That, the late king children and members of the Bigborogha family were never against the burial of their late father neither did they groom any resentment against the members of the Traditional Council hitherto. They only expressed their dissatisfactions over the announcements of burial dates without recourse/consult to them as regards their preparedness.

2.) That, the long delay in the final passage rites of the late king was caused by the failure of both parties to concede their grounds amidst festering provocations which are avoidable.

3.) That, with the Kaka Royal Family mooted peace process which was subsequently expanded to the whole kingdom: and with the various phases of interface with all stakeholders in the kingdom, it is now patently unambiguous, the late king children, the Bigborogha Royal House and the Ngbilebiri-Mein Traditional Council are on the same page for peace in the kingdom geared towards burial of our late monarch.

4.) That, in line with principle and ethics, it is mandatory for both parties in dispute to sign bond of settlement. However, the tacit acclamations of the parties involved deserve our respect as a kingdom in order to avoid over-legalities. The Joint committee and the larger kingdom forum unquestionably earned the integrity and commitment of the Ngbilebiri-Mein Traditional Council by their huge voluntary concessions. We are also satisfied with the obligatory allegiance of the late king children through their closed-door sessions with the larger Bigborogha Royal House; and by extension the Kaka Royal House.

Therefore, either or both parties being signatories to the accord has outlived its usefulness. It is the wisdom of our committee and other stakeholders to endorse their words of honour and sign on behalf of them. We attest against any breach of these promises as they are men and women of honour.

5.) That, as a result of the above, the Joint Committee appeal to the Ngilebiri-Mein Kingdom Traditional Council to commence strategic  preparation and planning for the burial and announce burial date before an assembly of the kingdom after all-inclusive consultations. In conclusion, the above forum beckons on all sons and daughters of Ngbilebiri-Mein kingdom to sheathe their swords. We must be encouraged to re-integrate and re-adapt to the embodiment of the kingdom in order to enforce peace-making and peace-building.

LONG LIVE NGBILEBIRI – MEIN KINGDOM.

Signed:

Prince (Apostle Dr) S.O Dode, Prince Ahmed E. Saibakumo (FMLSCN), (Chairman and Secretary, Bigborogha/Kaka Royal Houses Joint Committee).___________________ _________________________

Wike to Atiku: No Deal until Ayu Resigns as PDP Chairman

Wike to Atiku: No Deal until Ayu Resigns as PDP Chairman

Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike has told the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that his group will not back down on its demand that the National Chairman Senator Iyorchia Ayu must resign and cede his position to the South.

Wike spoke when his political associates and Rivers elders led by the Chairman, Rivers Elders Council (REC), Chief Ferdinand Alabraba, visited his private residence in Rumueprikom to felicitate with him on his birthday on Tuesday.

The Governor in a statement by his Special Assistant, Media, Kelvin Ebiri, said he had no personal problem with Atiku.
But he said for peace to return to the party, the chairmanship position must be given to the South before the 2023 election.

“I have no problem with presidential candidate. All I am saying is what is the interest of Rivers people? What is the interest of the Southsouth and the South?”

Wike recalled that about a year ago, Rivers elders urged him to contest for the presidency, which he heeded.

He said: “I don’t regret I ran for presidency. In the name of God, I am happy to make Rivers State proud. I am happy as far I am concerned. If they had allow it to be what it is supposed to be, I would won the election. But it’s okay. It has happened.

“People said because I lost election, it doesn’t matter. I didn’t lose election. This is my first time of trying to run for the president of Nigeria and we made impact. If it is easy let them go ahead. Are they not the ones begging.”

The Governor said some of his Ikwerre brothers like Sir Celestine Omehia and former Deputy Speaker Austin Opara, were begrudging him because of his insistence that it would be morally offensive for an Ikwerre man to succeed him or even emerge as PDP candidate for Rivers East senatorial district.

He said: “I called Austin (Opara) , he sat here and I said look my brother leave it, it will not work. I don’t want to cause crisis in our system. Amaechi finished eight years as governor, I’m going to finish eight years as governor too.

“It will be difficult to sell another Ikwerre person as Governor for another eight years. Omehia said he wants to go to the Senate, I said leave it. Ikwerre has gone, Ogu has gone, leave Etche to go.

“You people said I should go (to Senate), I said I won’t. Allwell ( Onyesoh) could not have stopped me. Yes, today we are majority, you don’t know what tomorrow will be. I never did anything to undermine anybody. We must understand that.”

Wike further described as sheer hypocrisy the allegation that he foisted the Rivers PDP governorship candidate, Sir Siminalaye Fubara on the party.

He said the emergence of Fubara was a collective decision reached after those, who had indicated interest to succeed him failed to reach a consensus to produce one candidate.

Pipeline surveillance workers protest incomplete payment of allowances in Bayelsa

Pipeline surveillance workers protest  incomplete payment of allowances in Bayelsa

...... As aggrieved youths seize anti-crude oil theft Patrol boats in Nembe-Brass

Yenagoa_____ Angry Youths from the Nembe and Brass Local Government areas of Bayelsa State on Monday staged a protest against the incomplete payment of allowances by one of the Anti-crude oil theft surveillance contractors, Kojo Sam Logistics Limited, leading to the seizure of patrol boats belonging to the company in the area.

It was gathered that while over 2,000 youths engaged in Bayelsa state by the State Coordinator of the Tantita Security Services owned by the foremost Former Militant leader, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo also known as Tompolo, were paid N200,000 monthly allowance for the job, the aggrieved boys attached to Kojo Sam Logistics Limited were paid N50,000.
Investigations showed that despite the existing agreement between the Chief Executive Officer of Kojo Sam Logistics Limited, Chief Kojo Sam and the Youths over the payment of N100, 000 monthly in order to accommodate more youths in the NNPC crude oil pipeline surveillance job, the company paid them N50, 000 instead of the agreed N100,000.

The aggrieved Youths. Mainly from Okpoama town in Brass Local Government Area of the State, in a protest against the shortage of payments seized the boats and threatened to set them ablaze.

A close source told our reporter in Yenagoa that the angry youths, who are from the same community with the Minister of State for Petroleum, Chief Timipre Sylva, accused Chief Kojo Sam of reneging on the existing agreement and short changed them in the monthly payment of their oil pipeline surveillance job.

One of the angry Youths, Miebi, 34 years old, however blamed the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva of awarding the oil surveillance component for his own community to an outsider instead of an Okpoama person. “Each worker were to be paid N200, 000 but the youths had agreed with Kojo Sam Logistics Ltd to pay N100,000 each to be able to accommodate more youths in the community”.
“But instead of paying them the sum of N100, 000.00 as resolved, the company decided to pay N50, 000 a month to each of them” he allege.

The Youths has however dragged all the company boats to land, warning that nobody will touch the boats until the money is fully paid. The ugly development is threatening the peace and security in Okpoama community.

When newsmen contacted the Bayelsa Office of the Tantita Security Service, officials working with the Coordinator, Great Joshua Machiver declined comment. But a close source told newsmen that N200,000 was the minimum pay for per personnel in Tantita Security services as approved by Tompolo.

“the Tompolo’s owned Tantita Security Services (Bayelsa Operations) headed by Great Joshua Maciver has paid the sum of N200,000 each to about 2000 staff deployed to various units for Pipeline Surveillance and to also curb the activities of illegal oil refineries in Bayelsa State.

Some coordinators smile home with five to Ten millions and Tantita is not owing any staff as recruitment into various units of the surveillance job is still ongoing as the work progresses.”

Several attempts to reach the management of the Kojo Sam Logistics failed as phone calls and text messages were not answered. But a close source told newsmen that attempts are being made to settle the issue of short changed payments.

Why Pst. Ayo Terminates his Marriage to Helen After 25 Years

Former president of  the Christians Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ayo Oritsejafor, and his wife Helen have reportedly separated after 25 years in marriage.

According to reports, the popular Pentecostal pastor parted ways with his wife over a protracted and bitter misunderstanding.

It was said that the Niger Delta-based self-styled ‘Bishop of Godism’, Ufuoma Bernard, Helen in a WhatsApp message earlier in 2022 accused the estranged husband of wanting her dead.
She’s rumoured to be in a sizzling romance with a man for 10 years.

“Helen reportedly moved out of the matrimonial home and relocated to Britain with the kids and Pastor Oritsejafor has moved back to the house after abandoning it for almost a year,” Bernard said.

Oritsejafor is the founding and Senior Pastor of Word of Life Bible Church, located in Warri, Delta State.

He became the national president of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) on 7 February 2005, a position he held for five years.

In July 2010, Oritsejafor was elected President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the apex body of all Christians in the country. In doing so he became the first Pentecostal leader to hold the position.

Indonesian Govt Enact New Laws to Punish Sex Before Marriage

Indonesian Govt Enact New Laws to Punish Sex Before Marriage

The world’s third-largest democracy, Indonesia has cleared a sweeping overhaul of its criminal code on Tuesday, outlawing sex outside of marriage, defamation of the president and sharply expanding its laws against blasphemy.

The new rules, which also apply to foreigners in the country, have drawn criticism from human rights activists, businesspeople and students who warned of the risks posed to the L.G.B.T. community and religious minorities. Opponents also said that the rules threatened the global reputation that Indonesia, which has the world’s largest Muslim population, has built as a tolerant, widely secular nation.
Indonesian officials say upgrading the existing criminal code, which dates back to 1918 when Indonesia was a Dutch colony, was long overdue. Among the raft of new laws, penalties around consensual sex outside marriage have drawn the most criticism.
According to the new law, unmarried couples who “live together as a husband and wife” could be jailed for six months or face a maximum fine of 10 million rupiah ($710).

Sex outside of marriage, cohabitation and extra-marital affairs are now all illegal acts in Indonesia punishable by jail terms, after the country’s parliament passed controversial revisions to their criminal code.
Journos/social media enthusiasts also in crosshairs: Broadcasting or publishing “fake news” punishable by up to six years in jail if it causes a riot, 4 years if it doesn’t, while broadcasting/publishing info considered “uncertain and excessive” attracts max 2 years jail

The good news is minimum jail terms for corruption offenders reduced from 4 to 2 years.
