Illorin___ The Minister of State for Transportation, daughter of Oloye Olusola Saraki,Gbemi Saraki has cried out over the injustice done to her by the kwara All Progressive Congress, APC.
She said, APC has betrayed her by demolishing her father’s house despite her support for APC.

The APC chieftain decried the demolition of her father’s house by the same political party and government of APC, which according to her, she supported to fight her own brother, Bukola Saraki and his political party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to ensure victory for the emergence of APC government in Kwara State, during the 2019 general elections.

The minister stated, she had been betrayed by the APC government in Kwara State, noting that it was unfortunate that the government of APC in the State took the battle against Bukola Saraki too far, to the extent of demolishing her father’s house.

“After fighting against my brother for you, this is all you want to pay me with, Rasaki, this is betrayal. My family house demolition by the governor is Kwara politics taken too far,” she added.

Meanwhile The Kwara State Government has given reasons for the demolition of Saraki's political home popularly known as “Ile Arúgbó” in Ilorin in the early hours of Thursday January 2, 2020.

According to commissioner of communications, Murtala Olanrewaju , the demolition began quite early to avoid 'needless' protests. He also denied claims of the state government receiving a court order stopping the demolition as he appealed to residents of the state to remain calm.
