Gov. Okowa Sent more Commissioner Designates to Delta Assembly for screening 


Delta State House of Assembly has received a list of additional eight Commissioner designates  for screening and confirmation from 


The list of the Commissioner designates was contained in the letter of the State Governor, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa to the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and read on the floor of the House on Tuesday, July 13th, 2021. 


The nominees are to appear in the House on Tuesday, July 20th, 2021 for screening and confirmation. 


They are Prof Patrick Muoboghare immediate past Commissioner for Higher Education; Hon Chika Ossai immediate past Commissioner for Trade and Investments; Rt. Hon. Basil Ganagana for Commissioner for Energy; and Chief Emmanuel Amgbaduba immediate past Commissioner for Oil and Gas.


Others include Dr Mordi Ononye immediate past Commissioner for Health; Hon. Ovie Oghoore immediate past Commissioner for Transport while the new entrants are Barr. (Mrs) Bridget Ayanfulu Executive Assistant to the Governor on Girl Child and Hon Solomon Golley for Chairman Ethiope West Local Government Council. 


Also at Tuesday’s plenary presided over by the Speaker, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, the Delta State Public Finance Management Bill, 2021 scaled first reading, while second reading slated for July 27, 2021. 


***Delta State Farmers Registration, Monitoring and Certification Bill, 2021, passed first reading, second reading to be taken August 3rd, 2021. 


Delta Sate Livestock Breeding, Rearing and Marketing Regulation Bill, 2021(Delta Anti-open grazing law) Scales First Reading and Second Reading fixed for Wednesday, July 14, 2021.
