Aladja/Ogbe-ljoh Crisis: No Peace No Campaign in WSW LGA, Group Tell Okowa

...... Says Okowa can't tackle insecurity in Nigeria since he cannot settle Ogbe-ijoh/Aladja communal crisis

Warri _____ The Independent Grassroot Liberators (IGL), a political oriented pressure group with over one thousand members with permanent voters card (PVC) in Warri South-West LGA has asked the Executive Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa to convince the people of Warri South West Local Government Area in Delta State and Nigeria at large that he can tackle insecurity in Nigeria if given the mattle of leadership as Vice President by settling Ogbe-ljoh and Aladja communual crisis, adding that he will not get their support and votes come 2023 general elections if he fails to end the dispute.
The statement was made on Friday at Ogbe-ljoh Warri Kingdom, the headquarters of Warri South West LGA during a peaceful protest by various youth leaders across riverine communities, warned that Gov. Okowa and the various PDP Candidates should not dare to take their campaign to Ogbe-ljoh Warri Kingdom if the state government cannot end the Aladja/Ogbe-ljoh communal crisis that have claimed so many lives of their loved ones over the years.

Addressing the press shortly after the peaceful protest, the National Coordinator of the group, Hon. Felix Yerinbowei Company noted that, if Governor Okowa, the Executive Governor of Delta State refuse to settle the land dispute between Ogbe-ljoh and Aladja to ensure permanent peace, he should know that there will be no campaign in WSW LGA headquarters Ogbe-ljoh and IGL will never give him and his gubernatorial candidate support and votes come 2023 general elections.
Hon. Felix Yerinbowei Company who is the current Councillor Representing the good people of Ijansa/Ijelejele Ward 13 in Warri South West LGA and the National Co-ordinator of IGL made the statement to notify His Excellency Sen. Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, political parties and the entire public to beware that, the Independent Grassroot Liberators, IGL will not allow any form of campaign in Warri South West particularly Ogbe-ljoh Warri Kingdom if there is no lasting solution to the land dispute between Ogbe-ljoh and Aladja communities.

He asserted that if Government workers and others cannot use the access road to Ogbe-ljoh because of troublesome Aladja community people, a government road that belongs to everybody can't be used by anyone because of this dream killing epidemics Aladja people and the Government or the governor is doing nothing about it, then he or the government should know that the road and entire territory is also not safe for any kind of campaign. So there will be no campaign until there's permanent peace restored.
In his reaction, Amb. Engr. Okosu Smart added that campaigning in the headquarters of Warri South West is unnecessary and of no meaning for now until the necessary things be done by Political leaders and Sen. Dr. Okowa.

Smart Okosu said Dr. Okowa hasn't meet up to his campaign promises from his first to second terms, and now planning again to crown the next governor of Delta State without fulfilling his campaign promises to settle the age-long communal crisis between this two Communities will not work.
While Comrade Stevenson Numah, former Youth President of Ogbe-ijoh Warri Kingdom and the National spokesman of IGL added that, the Ogbe-ijoh Political leaders should see reasons with the Independent Grassroot Liberators (IGL) and the entire Youths.

He said it is high time our leaders should stop romancing with the government to the detriment of the grassroot people and the entire kingdom, and that IGL have made up their minds to stop any political campaign activities in this critical time without proffering a lasting solution to end the crisis.
Also adding his voice to the group, the National Grand Patron of IGL, Comrd Amb. Mamamu Bene Youkore who double as the National President of Niger Delta Youth Council worldwide urged the Governor of Delta State and Vice Presidential Candidate to listen to the voice of the masses of Warri South West people and do the needful to avoid distractions of campaign activities in the forthcoming general elections come 2023.

He noted that due to the endless communal crisis, there is no social infrastructural development in Ogbe-ljoh Warri Kingdom, thereby making life difficult for the people to live.
He added that Gov. Okowa should take drastic action to use the disputed land to mount Army Base so as to put an end to the argument of who is the true owner of the land between the two communities.

Others who speaks in similar vain at the protest includes the youth president of Ogbe-ljoh Warri Kingdom, Comrade Kenneth Ebikoro, Comrade Ebi Joe and Miss Oromoni bitterly called on Okowa PDP led Delta state government to immediately proffer a lasting solution between the two communities because they can no longer be patience seeing their prospective future leaders dieing untimely as result of the barbaric killings between Ogbe-ljoh and Aladja.
