Edegbene ruling house mourns late king Ayemi-botu, pursues next king

Warri ____ Edegbene Ruling House of Seimbiri kingdom of  Burutu Local Government Area of Delta state, has mourned the departure of the Paramount Ruler the Kingdom, HRM Pere Charles Ayemi- Botu (JP) OFR, aka Lion of the Niger, urge indigenes, politicians and statesmen to observe and abide by established protocols of Seimbiri kingdom traditions as the traditional council of chief announced the mourning of  the great monarch for three months, caution those to refrain from making precipitate statements, actions or gestures.

According to the prominent son of the Edegbene Ruling House Comrade  Wareburueyegha Eric, said the first King is from Oboro ruling house, HRM king Daubiri Oromokerekere the 1st,  the second King is from Enekorogha ruling house, HRM. king Ogobri the Oromokerekere the 2nd,  The third king is from Okpokonu ruling house, HRM Charles Ayemi-botu, the Oromokerekere the 3rd, 
He said, History beckons to all in authority to conduct all that pertains to the Throne with the utmost sense of responsibility, bearing in mind that all power is a trust for which there is a reckoning, The five communities that produces King in Seimbiri kingdom, are (1) OBORO (2) ENEKOROGHA (3) OKPOKONU (4) EDEGBENE (5) DUNOU-OGUSU. Among of the five ruling house, Oboro ruling house have produced, Enekorogha ruling house have produced and Okpokonu ruling house have produced, now it's the turn of Edegbene to produce the next King of Seimbiri kingdom, We remain steadfast in our faith in Almighty God that Seimbiri kingdom will grow from strength to strength, glory to glory and grace to grace. 

We, the Edegbene Ruling House of Seimbiri kingdom join millions of descendants of Seimbiri kingdom all over the world to mourn the transition of the great king and our father,  His Royal Majesty Paramount Ruler the Kingdom, HRM Pere Charles Ayemi- Botu (JP) OFR, aka Lion of the Niger, Oromokerekere III, into the realm of the ancestors.

The Seimbiri KingdomTraditional Council of Chiefs has officially announced the death of the Paramount Ruler the Kingdom, HRM Pere Charles Ayemi- Botu (JP) OFR, aka Lion of the Niger, on 5th January 2024, at Okpokunou, traditional headquarters of Seimbiri kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State,

As heirs of the Throne the Edegbene Ruling House, we understand that all protocols of the Seimbiri kingdom and Delta State are to be respected to their logical and legal conclusions while all eligible princes prepare to pick up the giant responsibilities of the Throne.

On our part, we are fully committed to bringing seasoned and dignified leadership worthy of the Throne to the service of all Seimbiri kingdom and all Edegbene descendants. Our resolve in this regard leads us to plead with all concerned authorities, traditional and modern, to utilizes this moment of transition to revisit and rectify foundational aspects of our time-tested monarchy:

We plead with gentlemen and ladies of the press as well as Lords spiritual and temporal to henceforth refer to this revered institution guarded by the gazette with five ruling house to wit, a stool.

We urge indigenes, politicians and statesmen to observe and abide by established protocols of Seimbiri traditions to refrain from making precipitate statements, actions or gestures in honour of the Throne which is our sacred duty to preserve with utmost decorum.

We enjoin all eligible heirs of Edegbene Ruling House to come forward, realising the importance of the tasks that lie in the future, and earnestly contend for a place in the history of Seimbiri kingdom and of the Ijaw nation, he stated.
