Ayakoromo Bridge: SETRACO Manager, State Director, Others visit Site

Warri _____ As Governor Okowa led Delta State government reaffirm its commitment to complete Ayakoromo bridge project in Burutu Local Government Area  of the state before leaving office on 29 May this year, the area Manager of the new company SETRACO Nig. LTD, Engr. Jayjay, the Director Ministry of Works Delta State, Engr. J.C. Aboloje alongside her deputy, Engr Victor Oputa and Engr. Kenneth Okpor, (Superintending Engineer, Burutu LGA), visited Ayakoromo bridge site in the early hours of Wednesday 4th January, 2023, in order to ascertain the level and quality of work done by the former company ZEROCK, so as to fully mobilize to site for work.
This was followed by the recent promise made by His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa at Burutu Town last week and that Delta government has re-awarded the job to new company SETRACO and had given marching order to complete the bridge within the next four months for commission before he leaves office.

Speaking to journalists during the site visit, Engr. J.C. Aboloje, who is the Director Ministry of works, said they are on site with the new contractor SETRACO to know the level of work done so as to double effort to finish the bridge before this administration end.
She noted that the State government has given a marching order for the speedy completion of the all important Project to the riverine communities, especially the people of Burutu, Ughelli South and Bomadi, hence it is expected that the new construction company should do his own part of the bargain by fully mobilizing to site for action.

Recall that Gov. Okowa terminated the project as a result of ineffective performance by the former company and re-awarded the job to SETRACO. In no distant time, the project would be completed for commission, Engr. Aboloje asserted.
In his reaction to the development, the Community Liaison Officer (CLO), Dcn. Desmond G. Edumogiren thanked and appreciated the State Government's renewed commitment towards the project.

He specifically appreciated the governor, His Excellency, Sen. Dr. lfeanyi Arthur Okowa for matching his words with action by promptly mobilizing the new contractor SETRACO to site. 
He urged both host Communities Ayakoromo and Egbo-Ide to corporate by creating the enabling working environment as usual for the new contractor SETRACO to finish the bridge at the government stipulated time, Edumogiren stated.
