Birthday Celebration: Opuama Youth Leader, Comr. John Olokpa Salutes Gen. Tompolo @ 49, Describes Him As The True Messiah Of Niger Delta Liberation Struggle

Warri______ A youth leader cum human rights activist from Opuama Community in Egbema Kingdom, Comrade John Olokpa has felicitated with the Ibe-ebidou-owei 1 of Gbaramatu Kingdom, High Chief. Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo on the auspices occasion of his 49th Birthday anniversary today 12th April, 2020.
Comrade Olokpa in his birthday message, thank and appreciated Tompolo for his selfless services to ljaw nation over the years, describing him as a bridge builder, peace maker as well as the true Messiah of Niger Delta ljaw liberation struggle from the oppressed Nigerian government against his people.
He further appealed to Tompolo to extend his hand of friendship as well as generosity to the people of Opuama Community in Egbema Kingdom, especially during this period of COVID-19 lockdown. Wishing him a glorious birth anniversary and pray God to give him more strength, wisdom and knowledge to continue his good works for the Niger Delta people, Comr. Olokpa stated.
However, it will interest you to note that, Gen. Tompolo, who was the General Officer in Command (GOC) of the defunct Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta (MEND), has facilitated so many giant infrastructural and human capital development to the Niger Delta region, especially the Federal Maritime University Okerenkoko, which has gainfully employed over five thousand people.
Tompolo's arms agitation struggle also paved way for the establishment of NDDC, Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, Presidential Amnesty programme among others that has brought reasonable peace in Nigeria, especially the Niger Delta oil rich region.
