Yenagoa_____ As the COVID-19 nationwide lockdown enters fourth week, ex-Niger Delta agitators has demanded relief materials from President Buhari led federal government of Nigeria, saying they are equally entitled to such benefits as some part of the country is enjoying it.

The ex-militants said they can no longer cope with the sixty five thousand naira monthly stipend given to them by federal government, especially during this COVID-19 lockdown, stressing that federal government should do the needful by transferring palliative cash through their BVN account numbers.

Speaking to newsmen on behalf of the ex-agitators in yenagoa yesterday 23rd April, 2020 after emergency meeting, one Commander Biggy Ebi Pinapinawei noted that if the federal government can give relief materials as well as transfer palliative cash to some persons in the Northern part of Nigeria, he should equally pay the Southerners, especially the ex-agitators.

Commender Biggy said the whole nation is facing a difficult situation and he wonder why President Buhari will order payment of some selected Nigerians and leave the others to die in hunger.

" We cannot continue with this partiality and ethnicity menace in our nation. Let the palliative cash transfer go round to every Nigerians if not, there will be a very big problem soon in the country.

President Buhari should know that the 65k they are paying ex-agitators is just a penny. We are using it to cater for our various families. The payment is what we use to assist the needy in the society but it has been difficult due to the present situation in the country."

" We hereby called on President Muhammadu Buhari to as a matter of urgency give us relief materials as well as transfer palliative cash through our account details already with the federal government. And if the lockdown will continue without such palliative measures put in place, there is going to be a huge problem in the nation, the statement adds."
