Warri ______ ln their bid to keep the unforgettable good memories and legacy of their beloved late father alive, the children and family members of the great Ekpemupolo dynasty of Okerenkoko and Kurutie Community's of Gbaramantu kingdom, in Warri South-West LGA, Delta State has invited friends, loved ones, well wishers and the general public to join them tomorrow Friday 9th September, 2022 as they mark the 6th year Remembrance (Anniversary) of their departed Patriarch, lcon, elderstatesman and leader, late High Chief. Thomas Osen Ekpemupolo, alias Papateikoro.

In a Press Statement released on Monday in Warri, and signed on behalf of the family by Hon. George Ekpemupolo, stated that the 6th Anniversary of their late father would take place tomorrow at Okerenkoko Town, Gbaramantu kingdom, in Warri South-West LGA, of Delta State.
It will recall that, the departed great Ekpemupolo suffered torture in the hands of Nigerian Army back in the year 2016 that led to his tragic death, having amputated one of his legs as result of the military brutality. He paid the supreme price for his children, ljaw nation, Niger Delta and died heroic at the age of 84 in Warri, Delta State. He was however, given a befitting final burial rites by the children, family and the entire Niger Delta Region in the year 2016.

Meanwhile, it will interest you to note that the late highly respected elderstatesman in the Niger Delta Region was the biological father of the most celebrated number one Niger Delta ljaw freedom fighter, High Chief Priest. Government Oweizide Emkpemupolo, alias Tompolo whose late father used his life as the sacrificial lamb.
He was also the father of two term former Executive Chairman of Warri South-West Local Government Council of the State, Hon. (Chief) George Ekpemupolo, whose track records, laudable achievements and legacy projects in the council secretariat are yet to beat by his successors over the years.
