NDLF Salute Tompolo, pledges to work with him, warn against Distractors

Warri _____ Ex-agitators of the defunct Niger Delta Liberation Force (NDLF), under the leadership of late Gen. John Togo, has send a heartfelt congratulatory message to the number one Niger Delta born ljaw Freedom fighter, High Chief Priest. Government Oweizide Emkpemupolo, aka Tompolo on the recent Pipeline Surveillance Contract awarded to him by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

In a congratulatory message released on Wednesday at Warri, and signed by Commander Ayakeme Sunday, alias Prapra on behalf of late John Togo surviving foot soldiers, noted that President Muhammadu Buhari led federal government and NNPC Limited has taken the right decision by entrusting the pipeline surveillance contract to Tompolo, stressing that he is the man of the people of Niger Delta Region, tested and trusted with proven integrity to deliver on the assignment given to him.
The late John Togo boys pledged their unalloyed support to work with Tompolo, saying any forces that kick against Tompolo because of this contract, be it physical, spiritual and otherwise should stay clear or else, be ready to contend with them.

They however, lamented neglect by the federal government of Nigeria and the government of Delta State with failed promise of empowerment with Land/Waterways security job, having surrendered their arms and ammunition in 2010 after the tragic death of their leader John Togo, while appealing to Tompolo to consider and carry them along in this pipeline surveillance security job.
Finally, The group called on all concerned stakeholders and the various ethnic groups cut across the Nine Niger Delta States, especially ljaw, Urhobo, ltsekiri, lsoko, Ibibio, Calabar, Ilaje, Kwale, lkwere, Kalabari, lbo, Okrika amongst others to cooperate and join hands with Tompolo to work in order to ensure safety and protection of our highly polluted environment by the activities of illegal oil bunkering in the region, the statement added.
