Amnesty jamb condition: Ex-agitators calls on Pa Clark, Tompolo, others to intervene

Amnesty jamb condition: Ex-agitators calls on Pa Clark, Tompolo, others to intervene

....... Says they don't know book to write jamb before going to school

Francis Tayor

In what they described as sabotage and deliberate attempt to thwart the genuine efforts of the federal government to restore permanent peace in the Niger Delta oil rich region, the ex-agitators of the region has raised alarm as well as kicked against over the new directive by the Interim Chairman of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Gen. Miland Dikkio for all former militants to write jamb before they would be deployed to study in the university, saying the condition will not stand the test of time rather it will lead to anarchy and kios in the country.

The ex-agitators under the aegis of the Refined Niger Delta Militants (RNDM) comprises of all the former militants in phase 1,2 and 3 across the nine (9) Niger Delta states, raised the alarm on Sunday March 7, 2021 after an emergency meeting at Machiva Hostel Warri, Delta state warned Mr. Dikkio to immediately deploy them to the various universities the federal government partner with to train them academically within one week time or else, expect an unusual protest that will affect oil pipeline installations that will crumble the nation's economy.

In statement signed by the Coordinator of the group, Gen. Alabeni Otobo said about 95% of the ex-agitators of Niger Delta are illiterates and they want to go to school in order to contribute positively to build a better Nigeria as a country, but the new condition to write jamb is nothing but a ploy to deprive them of their right to study, having dropped arms to embrace federal government amnesty programme in 2009 for peace to reign in the country.

They maintained that the interim Chairman Dikkio and his PAs Alfred Kemepatei and George should follow the lay down procedures by deploying them within a week time, if not, whatever happened after the expiration of the notice, the federal government and the security operatives should hold the above names responsible for breaching the peace in the country. They further draw the attention of the interim management to note that their engagement is to serve the interest of the ex-agitators of the Niger Delta region and not to imposed on them unnecessary conditions that will jeopardize the peace of Nigeria.

However, they appealed to ljaw National Leader, Pa. E.K. Clark, Minister of State for Petroleum, Chief. Timipre Sylva, former Bayelsa state Governor, Hon Sen. Henry Seriake Dickson, Niger Delta former warlords, High Chief. Government Ekpemupolo aka Tompolo, HRM. King Ateke Tom, Gen. Boyloaf Ebikabowei Victor Ben, High Chief. Bibopere Ajube aka 'Shoot At Sight', Gen. Fara Dagogo, lYC President, Comr Dcn. Timothy Igbifa and all the South South governors to intervene on this matter and call Mr. Dikkio to order before things get out of hand, they stated.

He gave the charge on Wednesday at Hussey College warri, during the 5th edition of Comrade Sheriff Mulade inter-local government quiz and essay competitions for riverine/rural secondary schools in warri North, warri South and warri South-west LGAs of Delta State, noted that the competition is an initiative of his NGO CEPEJ that is targeted to promote educational awareness among the riverine/rural communities, and also to assist the less privileged but highly intelligent students to pursue their education and career in life through scholarship support.

Okowa of Delta state, multinational oil companies, as well as well meaning individuals to support and give more attention to education, stressing that education is the bedrock of a nation development. He noted that uptill now, the government has not been able to provide the needed education in the riverine communities.

Timi Expresses Worry Over Ward 10 PDP Leadership lmbalance ln Burutu

Timi Expresses Worry Over Ward 10 PDP Leadership lmbalance ln Burutu

......Calls on Burutu, state party leaders intervention before it's too late

The People's Democratic Party, PDP, in Ward 10, especially the 17 arm of it, is not a private business or personal property, hence, assumed and privileged, persons should not cow to pocket the party. The affairs of the party in the Ward, is descending into the abyss.

The present leadership in the Ward, so to say, and it attendant lord it over, is nothing but, a knife which has come to put, the very fabrics bonding us as party faithfuls, asunder.

They should be cautioned, and call to order before things gets out of hand. I foresee, the imminent of a factional and parallel Exco, in the Ward, in the coming days.

The incompetence occasioned with who are they, nobody is there to challenge, and its nepotistic way of overseeing the activities of the Ward, by some unscrupulous element, is a call to the sharp division, already in the Ward.

To the leaders of the party, in the local government, and that of the state, things are not alright, with the Ward 10 PDP in Burutu, particularly the 17 arm of it. The new pharaoh in town is pharoahic in the affairs of the party. Instead, of the sheriff we have envisaged, night mare stares us in the face.

People should not see the smile, and assume things are alright. It is only a lip service, and that smile is just an activity.

That, impression of things been okay, only exists in the mind of those that, bends truth for their own abracadabra and selfish ends.

No personal feelings against any body or group of persons, but, things and the affairs of the party belongs to all of us, and such, opinion should cut across all, and not, that, way of one issuing orders, from their comfort zones.

We choose to keep quiet, not because, we don't know what to do, such persons should desist from the act. The party belongs to all of us, and not, a private investment. This is not over, enjoy it, while it, last.

In the keyboard, everyone knows the right key to press, but, just enjoy it while it last. The day of reckoning is close! Party meeting venues should be in a neutral places, and not, in an environment that, bias stings.

Until, we review, the Ward party Exco, to accommodate, the general yearning of all members, as well as, incorporate the persons, that have worked assiduously, to share in the beneficial cake, and not just, one immediate family.

Things shall never be the same, in the coming days, and there shall be no peace, if the largesse of the party, does not go round. Let those that have worked, be given, opportunity to benefit. Lets stop promoting nepotism, and failure, incompetence over competent.

How can, from 1998 till date,  one set of persons with attitudinal challenge, forms Exco to the detriment of others, grounded with ideas, and a spirit to work. This habit needs a total overhauling.

The time is near. Lies and deceit, will no longer rule over truth, humility, diplomacy and understanding. There is still a bitch called the day of reckoning, it is a night mare which has come to stay!

To him, who is wise, let such a person change, we are way more than you! This is an inferno, you know too well that, I know.
