Asaba----- The people of Diebiri kingdom has again spoteneously stormed Delta state House of Assembly Asaba, yesterday in a peaceful protest to press on their demands for the Board membership position at the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), that was wrongfully given to Gbaramatu Kingdom by His Excellency, Dr.Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa.

This was coming after they shut down Batan Community Flow Station belonging to SPDC indefinitely on Saturday last week, in effort to reclaim back their stolen mandate to represent the Ijaw ethnic nationality in the Board of DESOPADEC that is due for Diebiri kingdom.

Speaking to Niger Delta Mirror Ndm news reporter, Francis Tayor at Asaba, one of the leaders of Diebiri Kingdom, Hon. Moses Douglas, said the Diebiri people would use all available means within their power to further press home their protest until Governor Ifeanyi Okowa reverse the Ijaw Desopadec
Board Member to them .

According to Hon. Douglas said, " We are calling on Governor Okowa of Delta State to reverse the appointment of Dr.Paul Bebenemibo, as well as charged Delta State House of Assembly to step down his screening because that position is due for Diebiri kingdom and not Gbaramatu.

Governor Okowa who himself is a product of equity, fairness and justice as regards to rotational representation should do justice and ensure equity prevail in this matter. He should look into the several petititions written against the Desopadec nominee from the Ijaw extraction and correct the abnormality. We are peace loving people, therefore we called on Governor Okowa to bring back our stolen mandate by appointing Diebiri son in the Board of DESOPADEC, Hon. Douglas stated. "
