Warri____ The fift edition of Ambakederemo CAF, Charity Cup for Under 14 has come to an end with the Great Avengers FC Academy defeated the Lord Honour 1-0 to clinched the trophy.

The finals which was played at Mein Grammar School football pitch, Kiagbodo in Burutu LGA, Delta State yesterday 29th December, 2019 attracted the likes of Hon. Ebiakpo Ezebiri, Hon. Lawrence Akpeti, Comrade Oyinbi Onduku, Comrade Sele Duba and others to grace the grand finale at Kiagbodo.

The 2019 Champions of CAF Charity Cup, the Great Avengers FC went home with the sum of sixty five thousand naira (#65,000) plus gold medals. The best goalkeeper during the tournament also goes to the Great Avengers Academy. The Lord Honour Academy took second and went home with forty thousand naira (#40,000) with other consolation prizes. While the Golden Friends FC trashes J Atete Baby Stars 6-0 in a penalty shootout to emerged third position and went home with the sum of twenty five thousand naira (#25,000) respectively.

It will interest you to note that the sponsor of CAF Charity under 14 Cup, Madame Edith Deremo Clark is a UK based humanitarian and philanthropist who had being using her foundation to reach out the less privileged ones in our society over the years.

According to her, said; " Clark Fuludu Ambakederemo Foundation is a Non-Governmental entity that is established as non profit corporation, otherwise known as a charitable trust with a purpose of making grants to unrelated for scientific, education and other charitable purpose.

She noted that Charity is right at the heart of the day to day running of Clark Fuludu Foundation. The foundation is being managed over the years from small collection from friends, family and well wishers. The Clark Fuludu Ambakederemo Foundation works alongside with respected research bodies with the aim of tackling causes of urgent problems and promote innovative work, ensuring that learning is shared as widely as possible and attempting to influence social change, she stated."

However, Madam Edith Deremo Clark thank and appreciated all those who had being supporting the foundation over the years. She charged the rich in our society to give to Charity, stressing that giving to the needy helps you to participate in a cause you feel strongly about. Charitable gifts go  a long way in helping organizations that operate and impact the needy. While it may seem that a small donation won't make a big difference, however even small gifts can have a big impact, she stated.
