Egbema Youths Set To Embark On Crime Free Sensitization Campaign, As Ugedi, Messiah, Agbedeyi, Others Charges Youths To Shun Violence And Embrace Entrepreneurship

Warri_____ The Egbema Youths Progressive Foundation (EYPF) has planned to embarked on peace and crime free society sensitization campaign programme across the kingdom, in order to attract sustainable infrastructural development from the government to their communities.

The group reached a resolution at Ogbudugbudu Town Hall yesterday 6th December, 2019 after the organization 3rd annual Town Hall meeting, stressing that the  sensitization programme is a campaign against criminality in Egbema Kingdom.

Speaking at the event, the President of Egbema Youths Progressive Foundation, Comrade Messiah Ebidou Miyenperegha urges the youths of Egbema to shun social vices, such as kidnapping, armed robbery, cultism etc. that will jeopardize their future. He said Egbema Kingdom is known for peace, and that let the peace continue to exist. He further warns that any Egbema youth who involved in any criminal act will be arrested and handover to the law enforcement agencies in order to face the full wrath of the law.

In his reaction, the Special Guest at the occasion, Hon. David Ugedi charges Egbema Youths to sustain the existing peace in the kingdom, noting that  meaningful development can get to our communities if only when there is peace.

In another reaction, the guest speaker at the event, Pst. E.F. Perekunakuna charged Egbema Youths to embrace entrepreneurship, noting that Egbema land is fertile for cassava and plantain farming. He aslo advice them to venture into poultry, piggery, palm oil as well as fish farming, saying these businesses are lucrative from time immemorial.

He concluded by urging the youths to obtain soft loans from financial institutions in order to enable them set up the above mentioned businesses. It is high time we diversify our dependence on crude oil and grab the entrepreneural opportunities available at our door steps, the statement adds.

On her part, Comrade Mercy Agbedeyi cautioned Egbema Youths against the quick to get rich syndrome, stressing that they should indulge in what will bring them lasting peace and rest of mind to themselves and the entire Egbema Kingdom.
