Warri_____ A youth leader from Opuama Community in Egbema Kingdom, Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State, Comrade. John Olokpa has Lauded the kind gesture of High Chief. Alhaji Emmanuel Omoko as he benevolently donates the sum of Ten Million Naira (#10,000 000 00) cash for Opuama indigenes in Diaspora, as well as its Bloc Communities in Egbema Kingdom, in order to alleviate the current hardship as result of the deadly Coronavirus pandemic outbreak all over the world.

Chief. Alhaji Omoko, who is the Bolowei 1 of Egbema Kingdom and the President General Opuama Welfare Association made the huge donation yesterday 27th March, 2020 at Sapele Delta State, in line with the federal government of Nigeria appeal to private individuals and philanthropists to support government in the fight against the spread of COVID-19 in the country.

Our source stated that the money was distributed yesterday to Opuama and its Bloc Communities, as well as Egbema indigenes residents in Sapele, Lagos, warri, Benin, Portharcourt, Asaba, Yenagoa and others across the country.

According to Comrade Olokpa, said Chief. Alhaji Omoko is a renowned  Sapele based Opuama born philanthropist who has touched so many lives over the years both in ljaw, Urhobo and ltsekiri nations in Delta State and beyond.

" He single handedly used his hard earned money to build houses for people, especially the needy in our society. Over one thousand five hundred youths, including elderly men and women are on his monthly stipend payroll.

His recent donation of ten million naira for communities in Egbema Kingdom is highly commendable. If we can have two or more persons like Alhaji, Egbema Kingdom in Warri North would have experienced massive transformation in terms of human capital development and infrastructure.

I want to use this medium called on other wealthy men in Warri North to emulate Alhaji Omoko philanthropic kind gesture, so as to make life easy and meaningful to the masses, especially during this trying time of the Coronavirus pandemic, Comr. Olokpa stated."
