Burutu Rerun: Asupa Sets to Reclaim Mandate as he Starts Campaign Across the 4-Units

Warri ______ Ahead of the forthcoming Burutu North Constituency Re-run election slated on the 3rd February, 2024, candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Asupa Peter Forteta and the PDP has commenced unit to unit campaign in Seimbiri Ward 4, particularly Enekorogha unit 26, Edegbene unit 27 and Oboro unit 9 in Burutu LGA of Delta State, in order to reclaim the stolen mandate from the main opposition party APC.

The campaign train was led by the Chairman PDP Delta South Senatorial District, Chief. Dr. Julius Takeme alongside the member representing Burutu Federal Constituency in National Assembly Abuja, Rt.Hon. Julius Gbabojor Pondi, the Commissioner for Housing Delta State, Rt. Hon. Godknows Angele, the Chairman Burutu Local Government Council, Chief. Combolous lkisa, Hon. Chief. Dan Yingi, Hon. Funkekeme Solomon,  Chief. Emmanuel Amgbaduba, Hon. Paul Kurugbe, Hon. Pulla Ekpotuayerin, Hon. Richard Tuedon, Hon. Godwin Edumogiren, Hon. Ekanpou Enewaridikedeke, Hon. Sunny Perekeme, Hon. Kofee Amasuomo among other notable Burutu PDP leaders too numerous to mention stormed Enekorogha, Edegbene and Oboro units today with the message to return Asupa Forteta to the State House of Assembly to continue the good works he started during his first tenure.

Recall that the election Tribunal in Asaba and the Appeal Court in Lagos unanimously delivered judgement in November 2023 against the APC candidate, Hon. Alapala Ebitonmo in favour of PDP Asupa by cancelling four unit results due to over voting and subsequently ordered INEC to conduct a fresh (Re-run) election within three months across the four units ( Enekorogha unit 26, Edegbene unit 27, Oboro unit 9 and Ayakoromo unit 8) in order to determine the true winner of the election.

Speaking at the various units, candidate of the PDP,  Hon. Asupa Forteta appreciated Seimbiri Ward 4, especially Enekorogha, Edegbene and Oboro people for their votes in the past 2023 general elections, while appealing to them to reciprocate the kind gesture come 3rd February, 2024 Rerun election.

 

Asupa promised to promptly respond to the needs of Communities in Seimbiri Ward 4 when given back the mandate. He said the Delta State governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori is his bosom friend, hence he has free access to see the governor at anytime, anyday to influence whatever development the people want from the government when given the mandate.

Others who spoke at the various units include; Hon. Dan Yingi, Hon. Combolous lkisa, Barr. Ikpese, Ebike Oromoni, Chief. Emmanuel Amgbaduba, Hon. Godknows Angele, Rt. Hon. Julius Pondi, Hon. Funkekeme Solomon, Mrs. Lyna Ocholor, Principal Secretary to the Governor of Delta State,  Chief. Julius Takeme and Hon. Newworld Ndoro appealed to Enekorogha, Edegbene and Oboro people to vote for PDP, stressing that PDP is the only party that will attract even development to their communities.

They emphasized that all the infrastructural developments present in their communities, such as road networks, bridges, schools, health care centers etc are all brought by the PDP led government.

Therefore when given the mandate to Hon. Asupa Forteta of the PDP,  there would be more development to their Communities from Governor Sheriff Oborevwori led PDP administration of Delta State, the statement added.

However, there was a spectacular moment as Hon. Asupa Forteta fulfilled his earlier promise made to Enekorogha Community during his thank you visit as he presented a brown new Yamaha 15 Horse Power Engine to ease water transportation in the community.

While at Oboro Community, Hon. Forteta is currently drilling drinkable pipebone borehole water across the various quarters.

Meanwhile, in their various respond, Oboro Community through the Chairman, Mr Ebimotu Odayeibo appreciated PDP, especially Hon. Dan Yingi and Hon. Julius Pondi for bringing development to their community, such as  solar lights, building of new classroom blocks, primary health care centers, provision of free jamb forms among others to the community.

They promised to deliver PDP in the forthcoming Re-run election.

While the Chairman Enekorogha unit 26, Mr Eniyokekere Clark on behalf of the community extended deepest appreciation to Hon. Asupa Forteta and the PDP for matching their words with action, adding that the community executives will provide the enabling environment during the Re-run  election.

However, the PDP campaign train shall visit Ayakoromo Ward 7, unit 8 tomorrow 23rd January, 2024.
