Re-run: Ayakoromo Standstill for Asupa as he Pays Thank You Visit

Warri _______ The show of love was unquantifiable as the people of Ward 7 Ayakoromo community in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State massively welcomed the former member of Delta State House of Assembly Burutu North Constituency and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP for Delta State House of Assembly in the 2023 general elections, Hon. Peter Asupa Forteta as he paid thank you visit on Friday 5th January, 2024.
The massive turnout by the people indicates that Ayakoromo community stands for PDP and they have resolved to return Asupa back to Delta State House of Assembly to effectively represent them come February 3rd, 2024 Rerun elections at Ayakoromo Ward 7 unit 8, Seimbiri Ward 4 unit 26 Enekorogha, Edegbene unit and Oboro unit respectively.

There was a plus for the PDP as one Ayakoromo APC hitman, Mr. Ike Eniyezitua publicly denounced his membership and decamped to the umbrella party PDP, giving reasons that APC is a party of deceit and greedy fellows that has brought hunger, poverty, underdevelopment and hardship to Ayakoromo community in particular, and Nigeria at large.
Speaking at the occasion, the Chairman PDP Delta South Senatorial District, Chief. Julius Takeme, who led the party informed Ayakoromo community that they have come to appreciate and say thank you for standing by PDP over the years.

Takeme further emphasized that they have equally come to celebrate the new year as well as tell Ward 7 unit 8 electorates of the forthcoming Rerun election slated for 3rd February, 2024 between the candidate of the PDP, Hon. Asupa Forteta and the APC candidate, Hon. Alapala Ebitonmo.

It will interest the public to note that the election Tribunal sitting in Asaba and the Appeal Court in Lagos unanimously delivered judgement sometime November 2023 against the APC candidate, Hon. Alapala Ebitonmo in favour of PDP Asupa by cancelling four unit results due to over voting and subsequently by law directed INEC to conduct a fresh (Re-run) election within three months across the four units in order to determine the true winner of the election.
Meanwhile, Chief Dr. Julius Takeme earlier informed Ayakoromo people to be ready as the party would come back for campaign for the re-run.

Other notable PDP leaders in Burutu and  Ayakoromo sons and daughters who spoke at the thank you visit include, Hon. Combolus lkisa, Chairman Burutu Local Government Council, Hon. Godknows Angele, Commissioner for Housing Delta State, Hon. Paul Kurugbe, former 2nd member SUBEB Delta State, Hon. Kofee Amasuomo, Prince Kelvin Perekeme, Chairman PDP Ward 7, Hon. However, Ayakoromo people in their response, thank PDP for the infrastructural development the party had attracted to the community, and assured PDP of massive support during the re-rurn in the community.
