Oromoni Condoles The Family Of Late Chief Tom Amioku

The  Chairman of the State Taskforce on Environment Hon.Sylvester Oromoni has condoled the family of Late Chief Tom Amioku and the People's Democratic Party, PDP family in the State on the loss of the elder stateman.

The late Chief Tom Amioku served as State Commissioner at various times and was one of the founding members of the PDP in Delta State before becoming the Delta State  Commissioner of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC among other positions held in the State.

His words, 'Chief Amioku's death came to me as shock. He was a mentor and an astute politician who carried people along. He had a gentle mien, and never played politics of bitterness. His passage will leave a big vacuum in the politics of Delta State and indeed Okpe Local Government from where he emerged to serve Delta State'.

Continuing Honorable Oromoni, described Chief Amioku as gentleman who served his people with a great sense of responsibility, passion and competence .

His death, he added, is certainly a great loss, not only to his immediate family but to the people of Delta State. We would surely miss him, his wise counsel and wonderful contributions to the peace and development of Delta State.

Oromoni prayed God to comfort to the Amioku family and asked God to to grant him a sweet repose.

  Adieu Chief Tom Amioku.

Joy Alamu.
