Soldiers On Rampage Shot 3 Ijaw Youths, As Community Threatens War, Sends SOS To FG, Obaseki

Ajakurama community cry out, has sent a Save Our Soul message to the Federal Government as well as the Edo state governor Hon. Godwin Obaseki, over the activities of some overzealous security men in his area. Speaking on Sunday June 14th  2020, The group President frowned at a situation where the military has decided to cause unnecessary panic and fear among the peace loving people in Ovia south west LGA of Edo state. Three Ijaw youths was allegedly short by   unknown four soldiers attached to Okomu national park,  who have been peacefully leaving on their daily activities.

Comrade Mingo condemned the inhumane act of Nigeria soldiers,  disclosed that, on 13th June 2020 at about 2:00pm in Okomu kingdom, Ovia south west LGA Edo state, his community youths, one Mr. Endurance Festus Thikan, his younger brother Igor Festus Thikan, and Mr. Okondo surname unknown yet both from Egbema kingdom, was short by Nigeria Army that attached to Okomu national park, adding that the military is allegedly planning to attack the Ijaw communities in Ovia south west LGA of Edo state under the pretends of guiding Okomu national park and Okomu oil company, recently Okomu communities  was  invaded  properties worthy of millions was burn down, a sin of one man is not a sin of community,

He appealed to the governor who is also the chief security officer of the state to intervene and call the military to order so that they should not  carry out their evil act against innocent defenceless Egbema youths,

He stated further that the said youths living in Okomu kingdom was short on their ways to help a man to roles his tractor tyres that fell inside river, when they bring out the tyres from the river the military personnel and the civil security men surrounded them, the person leader soldiers order to open fire on youths, then military personnel shoot the three youths, immediately the boys ran with bullet wounds, but unfortunately the Endurance Festus Thikan can't run a long distance, the soldiers went and brought him out, seem that his conditions is critical they abandoned him and ran back to their company,

The military personnel posted to Okomu national park should not cause mayhem to the people of Egbema kingdom, as they have chosen to negotiate their demands with Okomu national park which is our Tennant's to wipe the landlords, we are peacefully, despite the poor development of the area and lack of infrastructure development , no accessible roads to the town, poor funding of our schools and other social amenities,

He also advised youths in the Egbema kingdom and most importantly the Ijaw youths to be careful at this electoral period “because the Federal Government is setting up a satellite over all their movements in the Edo state. Noting that any youths participating any criminal activities must brought to book,

Those contending with the Nigerian army are in the North, and not the defenceless civilians.This kind of show of force and intimidation is needed more in the North where Boko Haram is killing, maiming and kidnapping  defenceless citizens. We are law abiding, peaceful and accommodating in Egbema kingdom. Why this intimidation which is heating up the polity? As I speak many people can not freely driver the roads now because of fear of a repeat of what happened.
