Burutu_____ A group operating under the auspices of Concerned Citizens For Izon-Ebe Development (CCFID), has tackeld the Delta State Governor, His Excellency, Sen Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa of neglecting Ayakoromo ward 7 in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State in terms of political appointment and infrastructural development.

This was contained in a press statement issued to newsmen in Warri after a visit to Ayakoromo by the president of the group, Comrade Oyinbi Onduku, stated that the alleged political negligence of Ayakoromo people by the Delta State Governor is unfair owing to the fact that, Ayakoromo ward 7 in Burutu massively voted for his reelection during the 2019 governorship election.

He maintained that governor Okowa should also consider some illustrious sons and daughters from Ward 7 Ayakoromo for  appointment into his cabinet, saying what is good for Mr A' is also good for Mr B.
Speaking further, the group also lamented over the epileptic nature of work at Ayakoromo bridge project, as well as the ravaging flood water disaster that have submerged the whole community that have brought untold hardship and affected the community educationally, economically as students could no longer go to school and no place for market women to trade.

According to the group leader Onduku, “said l am appealing to governor Okowa to balance his appointments by giving Ayakoromo sons juicy appointment as well, because they worked and voted for him. Let there be some level of fairness and equitable distribution of appointments, as well as infrastructural development across the various wards in the state.

In his words: “I want to categorically state that, the present governor Okowa’s appointments is lopsided and that it doesn’t speak good for the governor. We urged governor Okowa to balance his appointment by looking into this matter critically. Since Ayakoromo ward 7 delivered bloc votes for him, the governor should complement their efforts by giving them appointment and not paying them back evil for good, the statement adds.”

However, the group also use the medium to call on the Delta State government, NEMA and the honorable members representing Burutu to salvage the community from the brink of flood
