Nigeria At 59: Okowa's Aide Daniel Ezekiel Charges Deltans To Seek Peace, So As To Attract More Investors In The State, Says Nigerian Democracy Is Improving, Let There Be Justice For All

Francis Tayor

In the spirit of celebrating Nigeria at 59th Independence Anniversary, the Senior Special Assistant to Delta State Governor on security, Comrade Ezekiel Daniel has charged Deltans to seek peace in order to attract more investors to the state, noting that Nigeria Democracy is improving for better but there is need for equal right and justice for all Nigerians.
Comrade Ezekiel in a Press Statement said; " I wish all Deltans and Nigeria at large, at 59th happy lndependence Anniversary. Nigerian democracy is improving for better, despite we are yet to adhered to total obedience to rule of law. Lets join hands to build on our democracy. I call on Deltans to use Nigerian 59th years Anniversary celebration to join hands with his Excellency, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa to maintain peace, law and order in the state do as to attract more investors to the state.
It is worthy of note that Governor Okowa empowerment programme and SMART agenda is paying off, as it have put smile in many Deltans faces. Many are gainfully self-employed and others are been qualified into the Labour market. As Deltans we have all reasons to be grateful to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as he is among the most democratical governors in the country. He is a detribalised governor, peace loving, unbias and not sentimental. He has a passionate love for the development of our dear state.
Nigeria, especially Delta state belongs to all of us, and security of lives and property should not be left in the hands of government and security agencies alone. We must all join hands to nip in the bud any form of insecurity in any part of the state. I urge you as fellow youths to be always lawful and strive to take a leadership position as no one has monopoly of political power.
Again, to my fellow youths out there, l want you all to exhibit the highest form of decorum and shun any thing that will threaten the peace of the state as we go about celebrating our Nation's Independence day anniversary.
I want you to believe in your self, work hard and desist from social vices such as drug abuse and cultism because it will only cut short your life and derail God plans for you. Am one of you, if l can become Senior Special Assistant today, you can become Governor of this state in the future.
At this auspicious moment of Nigeria 59th birth anniversary, I call for justice for the oppressed people in Niger Delta. We all tend to be having equal rights but the reverse is the case. Oil companies are not living up to expectation, it should help to build peace and develop host communities of their operational areas. I call on leaders of Niger delta to be up and doing. They should help to pursue development of the region and among other things. It is their responsibility to make more emphasis on the development of the region. It is my advice that you don't see your office as a means of self-empowerment but use it to better the lives of the common man on the street, he stated."
