Oromoni Wishes Gov. Okowa Merry Christmas, Urged Deltans To Ensure Clean Environment During The Yuletide

Oromoni Wishes Gov. Okowa Merry Christmas, Urged Deltans To Ensure Clean Environment During The Yuletide

The Chairman Delta State Taskforce On Environment, Hon. Sylvester Oromoni has extended Christmas wishes to the Executive Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Sen Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa Merry Christmas, charging Deltans to join hands with the state government in helping to maintain a clean and serene environment during the Yuletide.

Oromoni made the statement in a goodwill message released on Wednesday 23rd December, 2020 at Asaba, stressed that Deltans should celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ in a state of cleanliness, saying cleanliness is next to Godliness.

In his words, he said: "On behalf of myself and the members of the State Taskforce on Environment, I wish His Excellency, Sen Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, his wife Dame Edith Okowa and the entire people of Delta State a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year. I also wish the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Delta State who are members of my immediate political family the best wishes at this time".

Oromoni while harping on the need to ensure all round cleanliness across the state, charged Deltans not to dispose waste indiscriminately as it will cast a bad light on our cleanliness value.

According to him, "I want us to understand that Delta State belongs to us and those coming in at this yuletide season should see the best part of us in terms of clean environment. Please clean your surroundings and patronize the PSP services in order to dispose off your waste to government approved dump site. We cannot afford to continue to dispose waste indiscriminately in our environment", Oromoni stated.
