Warri_____ The remains of late. High Chief Michael Binebai, the Olotu of lduwini kingdom, who is a foremost ljaw leader would be laid to rest today Saturday April 2, 2022, at his country home Burutu lsland, the headquarters of Burutu Local Government Area of Delta state.

It will interest you to note that the former Commissioner DESOPADEC for ljaw ethnic nationality was the father of Prof. Benedict Binebai, the Orator of Niger Delta University, Wilberforce Island, Bayelsa state and grand father to the publisher of the Liberator newspaper, Amb. Princewill Binebai.

The Octogenarian Chief Binebai died on January 25, 2022, after a protracted illness at the rightful age of 88 years.

According to the funeral arrangements, read:

8.00 AM: Saturday 2nd April, 2022: Body leaves Ame Specialist Hospital @ 21 Okumagba Avenue, 
Warri, Delta State to Miller Waterside, Warri.

8: 30Am. Departure from Miller Waterside to Burutu lsland, in Burutu Local Government Area, Delta State.

10.00Am. Lying in State, at Chief T.M. Binebai’s Compound, Amba, Burutu.

10.30 AM. Corpse arrives St. Ann’s Parrish, Burutu, for a Requiem Mass.

Corpse Depart St. Anns Parrish, Burutu after requiem mass to High Chief T.M. Binebai’s compound, Amba Burutu for interment.

Reception follows immediately at the same venue.

Music will be supplied by Bestman May and King Allen Alabor.
