Ozobo Congratulates Douye Diri, Urges Him To Make Peace With Aggrieved Bayelsans

WARRI- The president of Ijaw People's Development Initiative, IPDI, Comrade Ozobo Austin has congratulated his excellency Douye Diri, the governor of Bayelsa state on his victory at the election tribunal as he urged him to make peace with aggrieved Bayelsans over the outcome of the tribunal verdict.

He said "Ijaw people must enshew bitterness and sheaths sword despite what has happened. We are aware that the recent supreme Court judgement between APC and PDP has caused some cracks and acrimony amongst our people but despite the misunderstanding it has created, please let's seek the face of God for direction and see reason to be our brother's keepers"

Ozobo added "Bayelsa is the only state we have, it is our only home, we cann't destroy it because of what has happened. Equally, we should guide against given room to outsiders to come and destroy our state. No amount of ambition or aspiration worths the blood of any Bayelsans, a fact we should know"

"It is true that what has happened is shocking but I'm pleading with every aggrieve person to sheaths sword and see the need to move ahead"

"I advice Douye Diri to see his victory beyond PDP affairs. He should be a unifying factor and a rally point. I urged him to extend hands of fellowship to every party in the state and avoid sentiments at every level of Bayelsa politics" he added.

"I urge him to see the development of Bayelsa above every personal agenda, in unity we stand and divided we fall" he further said.
