INC Election: Alaowei Owotorufa flags off Campaign in warri, vows to protect ljaw interest when elected

A foremost Presidential aspirant in the forthcoming ljaw National Congress (INC) election, Alaowei. Frederick Endorokeme Owotorufa, has officially kicked off clan to clan campaign across the three zones of Congress, promised to realign lNC in line with the ideals of its founding fathers, to effectively push the vision of a greater prosperous united ljaw nation.

The event took place on Friday 16th April, 2021 at Peggy Hotels warri, attracted critical stakeholders of Congress from various clans of Western zone, delegates, notable chiefs as well as highly placed ljaw sons and daughters at the ceremony.

In his opening remark, Alaowei Owotorufa thanked everyone present at the official flag off campaign ceremony of his lNC Presidential ambition. He stressed that when given the opportunity to serve, he will engage traditional institutions, ljaw leaders of thought and the youths to advance the cause of peace in ljaw land so as to attract a wholesome and sustainable development. 

Alaowei reiterated that he will put in his wealth of diverse experience in the public and private sectors over the past 35 years to institute an appropriate security and intelligence architecture indigenous to the ljaw nation for the protection and policing of all ljaw communities and her territories.

According to the soft vocal outspoken Oboro, Endoro and Agbere born 68 years old aspirant, said: " l am seeking for election into the office of President, ljaw National Congress (INC), to work with ljaw leaders of thought, the youths, government institutions as well as the multinational oil companies operating in our territory in order to drive the ljaw nation to enviable height.

From my modest experience, l have a deep understanding of the ljaw Question and the aspirations of our people for a life of abundance and dignity. When l am elected as lNC President,  as you repose your trust in me, l promise to work with all sons and daughters of the ljaw nation globally and collaborate with every of her friends, also fostering new relationships to deliver on the dream of A GREATER UNITED IJAW NATION. "

Speaking on ljaw culture and language preservation, Alaowei Owotorufa vows to promote the consciousness of ljaw culture and heritage to ljaw youths so as to engender deep pride in the youths of our ljaw identity. 

" l will collaborate with relevant stakeholders and partners, to institute the teaching of ljaw language in our academic and leadership institutions from primary school up to tertiary level. This initiative will also see to the setting up and strengthening of Faculties of ljaw Studies ( Ijaw History, Culture, Language, Arts etc.) in our universities and Leadership Academies.

In conclusion, INC  under my watch will continue to advocate the issues of ljaw unity, equality, equity, justice and fairness that were propounded and propagated by our founding fathers so that the labours of our fallen heroes past shall not be in vain.
