Omo-Agege Panic, As Gbagi's Popularity Renders His Oginibo Visit Useless

The visit of the Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, was greeted with low turnout, following the rejection of the All Progressives Congress (APC) by the people of Oginibo Community in Ughelli south local government area of Delta State.

Senator Omo-Agege, who is representing Delta Central Senatorial District in the Upper Chambers of the National Assembly (NASS), was in Oginibo to visit a chieftain of APC, Isaiah Kekeje, but was faced by the ground swelling popularity of Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi.

It was learnt that apart from people in his entourage, indigenes of the community, the country home of the People Democratic Party (PDP), governorship aspirant, Olorogun Gbagi, boycotted the event.

It was also gathered that the community distant itself from the meeting, as the leadership of Oginibo Community were also not in attendance.

A Community leader, Elder Isaac Egbavwerha said: "The executive that currently leads Oginibo were not in attendance. They said they are not APC members.

"As large as Oginibo Community, the women, men and even the youths that attended the visit were not up to 10. It was only those who came with him from other places that were attendance.

"No Oginibo indigene apart from about 10 came around", he said.

Meanwhile, Community youths, women and men who have thrown their weight behind the aspiration of the illustrious son, Barr. Gbagi, were seen chanting solidarity songs for his governorship ambition come 2023.
